You're invited to a special studio visit + exclusive preview of new work

Over the past few weeks we've been in the studio immersed in working on Angels, a new series of painted photographs.

This project began unexpectedly in March during an overnight stop in Exeter when we encountered the stone angels on the front of the cathedral, we were struck by the visibility of time and weather on the carvings — each one a timeworn figure slowly fading as the stone erodes. We photographed them, knowing instantly that this would be the subject for a new series of painted photographs.

This body of work continues our experiments with painting onto photographs – a process which has become central to our practice. These are the biggest and most ambitious pictures we've made. No one has seen them yet so we are curious to hear what you think.

Join our Online Studio Visit on Sat 5th July at 1pm!

We’d love to invite you to be among the first to see Angels. During this online event, we’ll share the process and ideas behind this series, and go deeper into the evolution of painted photographs in our practice.

To attend, sign up to our Patreon (starting from just a few pounds). You’ll be able to join the live studio visit, get behind-the-scenes of our projects and support the continuation of our work.
